Hannah & Mike’s Riverside AirBnB Wedding

Hannah and Mike hosted their intimate backyard wedding at a unique Airbnb on Grey Cloud Island, overlooking the Mississippi River. The non-traditional venue was woodsy, whimsical, and secluded, making the couple’s wedding feel so enchanting!

Hannah and Mike held a traditional Jewish ceremony on the bluff overlooking the river. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple shared their vows and made their commitment to one another standing under the chuppah made by the bride’s family. Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend, making it all the sweeter. After a traditional breaking of the glass, their guests cheered and the party officially started!

The couple and guests spent the evening socializing, enjoying drinks in unique thrifted mugs (given as the guest favors!), savoring the tastiest Thai food from Sawatdee Catering, and dancing the night away. When it was too late to be blasting music over the Mississippi, the DJ introduced the ~ silent disco ~ and we’ve never seen so much excitement!

What is a silent disco? It’s a “quiet” dance party where instead of music playing through speakers throughout the venue, guests are given Bluetooth headphones that are linked to the DJ. This keeps the party going, even when there is no amplified music. It’s a super fun and silly way to keep people on the dance floor all night long! As your wedding planner, it is so much fun to watch guests dance and sing their hearts out when we can’t hear the music, and the photos/videos your photographer, videographer, or other guests take will be hilarious to look back on! You can see what we mean here. 😂

From the unique venue to the eclectic details and personal touches, including the funkiest mix of vintage bud vases, custom temporary tattoos, and matching couples’ crocs, this was one of the most memorable backyard weddings!

Mazel tov!

“Lily was our coordinator for our wedding and was so amazing to work with. She kept us organized in the month leading up to the big day, and kept things smooth throughout the entire event.

I joked that I wasn't aware of any snags or hiccups during the event, which probably meant she was doing a great job keeping me away from all of the decisions, logistics, coordination, etc. It took so much stress off me and my family to know she was taking care of all those details on the day of the wedding. Plus she's super sweet and fun to be around - a cherry on top! I definitely recommend working with Lily for your big day.”
