We call it “best-friend-level support” for a reason – because we show up for our couples like we’d show up for a friend.

To ensure each couple gets our all, we choose to take on only a select number of weddings each year and we dedicate ourselves to ONE event per weekend. From the time of booking, you have unlimited phone and email access to your planner. With frequent check-ins, phase-based meetings, and our drive to actually get to know you and your partner, we will provide you with the one-on-one attention you deserve when planning such a special event.

You are a priority and we’ll make sure you know it.

At HappiLily Events, we aim to create a safe space for you to be exactly who you are.

Each couple works directly with Owner + Lead Planner Lily Hansen. The Lily you work with during your planning process is the same Lily you’d meet out at a concert, see at the farmer’s market, bump into at the bar… I will always show up as myself, and I hope you will, too.

Working with HappiLily Events is a partnership. We do far more than just giving you our suite of planning tools and saying, “See ya on wedding day!”

Instead, our process is collaborative; we work alongside you to bring your wedding day to life. Our role is to make planning easier, provide design recommendations and professional advice, guide you to the best vendors, and keep you organized so you can make confident decisions and stay on-track.

And for any ideas or questions you have along the way, we’re here to chat through them all.

We are passionate about celebrating and supporting all couples and party people. We will always treat you, your guests, and your vendor team with respect. We won’t work with anyone (couples, venues, or vendors) who doesn’t share the same mindset.

When you work with us, we will always respect your vision, budget decisions, opinions, priorities, design choices, and vendor selections. In return, we ask that you trust in our process and our recommendations; this will keep your planning process stress-free and ensure you have the best wedding day.

We are your tell-it-like-it-is partner in planning. We want you to have the BEST day, which is why we will always provide you with honest, to-the-point, and professional advice. (Sometimes, love hurts.)

We will fearlessly lead those hard-to-have conversations about budget, vendor investments, and setting realistic expectations. We’re also going to be honest with you if we have a concern about a potential vendor or think your wedding design might need a little tweaking.

Remember, as your advocate, sounding board, and professional voice of reason we always have your best interest in mind.

Owner and Lead Planner Lily Hansen is a Master Certified Wedding Planner. This means she is professionally trained to manage your wedding planning process and lead the way on wedding day! Not all wedding planners can claim the MCWP credential (currently only 8 in the Midwest region), or even that they have completed any professional training at all.

Part of our commitment to you is to always give our couples the best (...guidance and advice, planning tools, encouragement, day of support, all of it!). To do so, we continually invest in new training opportunities so we can keep refining our process and improving the tools we use.
