That’s why you’re looking for a day-of coordinator, right?  We’re here to tell you, that doesn’t exist. 

“Day of Coordination"  implies someone can simply show up on your wedding day, without any pre-wedding prep, and successfully manage your timeline, direct vendors, and execute everything exactly as you’ve envisioned. There’s no way.

Day of coordination doesn’t exist here.

Most couples don’t realize it, but “day of coordination” is a misnomer. The phrase doesn’t accurately reflect the service at all!

Unfortunately, many wedding planning magazines/websites and other vendors still use the term “day-of coordinator.” Professional wedding planners do their best not to use that term because this type of service simply doesn't exist.

In reality, you aren’t going to hire someone to show up at your wedding and work just one day. Anyone offering such a service (lookin’ at you, commenters in Minnesota wedding/bride Facebook groups…) can’t possibly have all the information they need to successfully manage your wedding day. They’re set up for failure. Weddings involve intricate timelines, months of details, and so many vendors… There are just too many moving parts to think someone will have it all figured out if they haven’t been involved in the details before your wedding day.

Sometimes called “Month-of” Coordination, Wedding Management is the new standard for day-of coordination.

Most professional wedding planners offer Month-of Coordination or Wedding Management. This appropriately conveys that their services include more than just showing up on your wedding day! Professional wedding planners will always step in to help you organize the final details beginning 30-60 days before your wedding. 

This involves creating a seamless timeline, coordinating details with vendors, attending a pre-wedding walkthrough at your venue, and reviewing the flow of the day and decor placement so we can get everything *just right* on your wedding day!

Leading up to your wedding, we meet with you & your partner, get to know you, and learn all about your vision and priorities. Our planning process is personal and collaborative. We love providing suggestions to personalize your wedding day and finding ways to bring your vision to life, and we love getting to provide advice and guidance for you whenever you have questions! 

As soon as you book with us, we have an initial planning meeting to help you prioritize your next tasks and recommend vendors you may need. We provide you with professional planning tools and helpful resource guides to use, and you also have unlimited access to us by email. Ask us all the questions you may have from invitation etiquette and centerpieces to vendor meals and dance floor sizing! 

We are dedicated to making your day the best, which is why we provide hands-on support as you are actively planning your wedding; not just four weeks before your wedding day when most "day-of" packages start.
