Your wedding day doesn't have to be cookie-cutter! We love to see couples embracing their personalities and style to create a celebration that is truly unique to them.

What’s trending?

You've for sure seen the latest trends of cutting (OUT) the cake and family-style meals becoming the norm. Sola Wood (and silk) flowers are more and more common.

Perfectly-mismatched bridesmaid dresses are having their moment, and couples are using well-known favorite songs with a softer "wedding feel" for their special moments — "First Date" for your processional or first dance anyone?

These twists on wedding traditions are trending nationally, and we’re definitely seeing our Minnesota couples following along!

Here are a few more trends we’re loving that you need to know about! Watch the REEL here, or read on!

1. Moissanite engagement rings! Who said it has to be a diamond?

These stones are a more cost-effective option for a larger carat and they reflect a RAINBOW of light! Vendors to consider: Cullen Moissanite and Gema and Co.

2. Wearing WHATEVER you want.

Whether that's a non-white dress, swapping heels for your Converse, skipping the veil, and/or wearing something other than a dress entirely! Bridal separates and jumpsuits are quickly becoming a popular and modern choice. If you’re in Minnesota… we just suggest dressing for the weather 😂

3. Walking down the aisle however feels right for you! If you're following tradition for tradition's sake, your ceremony won't feel authentic to the two of you.

You can walk down the aisle with your partner, with both parents (or anyone else you have that special bond with), or walk yourself! Yes, it's totally okay to walk solo. Shoutout Meghan Markle!

Check out our Instagram post for more photo inspiration of each of these trends!

“Lily was an AMAZING addition to our day! The organization tools and structure she brought to the planning process took away so much of our stress. We knew that she would make sure everything was done exactly how we had envisioned.

On the day of she made sure my husband and I didn't have to worry about doing anything, so we could just relax and enjoy our day. We would highly recommend her services to anyone planning a wedding!”
