Tent Wedding Goals in Northern Minnesota
Picture this: a not-too-hot, breezy August day, a gorgeous sunset, and your closest friends and family celebrating under a glowing tent. Dream. Come. True.
Set up on the driving range at the Minnesota National Golf Course, Lyndsay & Colt’s tent wedding was a modern-day fairytale.

With an original guest list of 350-400 people, this wedding was planned to be a huge celebration from the start. Approximately 275 guests attended, which led to a fun and energetic party. With a less-than-anticipated guest count, there was a comfortable amount of space in the tent that allowed for appropriately-sized tables (no squishing 10 people at an 8-top!) and enough room that no guests had to be seated on (and later kicked off of) the dance floor.
Lyndsay’s vision was a wedding as tastefully rustic as it bright and romantic. That vision was brought to life with wooden cross-back chairs, white linens, and farmhouse tables for the wedding party and gift & guestbook tables.
The floral was light & airy, mixing white blooms with pops of blues in the poppies and anemones to complement the wedding party’s attire. Guest tables featured lush greenery and delicately placed deer antlers, a sentimental tie-in to how Colt proposed.

The final touch that brought Lyndsay’s dream to life? The glowy and romantic ambiance created by string lights and an abundance of candles.
And of course, this fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a sparkler exit!

Coordinating and managing an event of this size is no easy feat, and hosting a tented wedding was a first for the Minnesota National Golf Course. Let us tell you, their staff were incredible. Throughout the planning process and on wedding day, their team was dedicated to making sure the couple had the best day and that all details were aligned.
In addition to their hospitality, the venue also offers on-site RV camping, a cabin and townhomes for the wedding party, and they provide a shuttle to and from local hotels — which means all guests can enjoy the party with a safe end-of-night plan.
