Laura and Jacob knew Redeemed Farm in Scandia, Minnesota was the perfect venue for their vision. The property is so enchanting with a restored barn and stable, a vineyard, and wildflower gardens with a fountain. It’s a charming, peaceful escape from downtown, and one of my favorite venues, especially in the fall.

Embracing the season, the couple chose a warm color palette of rust, terracotta, and dusty sage. Bridesmaids wore mismatched terracotta dresses which groomsmen’s ties matched in their black suits and corsages. Laura’s look was classic and elegant; she wore a long-sleeved lace wedding dress and a cathedral-length veil in a tousled bun.

One of the most romantic parts of the day was when the couple shared their first look and read private vows in the “Locks of Love” corncrib. Every couple that is married at Redeemed Farm gets to add a lock with their names and wedding date!

Their wedding day started with a bit of a chill and strong winds, almost forcing us to move the ceremony inside. Luckily, the sun shone and weather warmed just in time for guest arrival and the couple got their dream of an outdoor ceremony on the vineyard lawn! The changing colors of the natural landscape made the most beautiful backdrop with the venue’s cross arbor. We loved that the couple included a special rope-braiding in their ceremony to symbolize their union.

During social hour, guests mingled in the gardens and pavilion, enjoying what turned out to be a beautiful fall day! The venue even had a fire lit in the stone fireplace in the pavilion, creating the most cozy atmosphere by the outdoor bar.

A bride and groom do a rope braiding unity ceremony to symbolize their commitment and marriage.

In the reception barn, simple centerpieces of floating candles and greenery with terracotta cheesecloth runners decorated the handmade wood harvest tables for dinner. Laura transitioned her style into a fun ponytail and removed her dress sleeves, and both the bride and groom switched their formal shoes for dance-ready Vans! To end the night, guests celebrated in the stable and enjoyed a delicious s’mores bar from gourmet marshmallow connoisseurs, North Mallow. Tell me s’mores aren’t the most perfect dessert for fall!?

Here’s what Laura and Jacob have to say about working with HappiLily Events:

We could not have made a better decision than to work with Lily. She was so very helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and was the most amazing go-to person on the day of our wedding. Lily was always willing to help in anyway possible, answered my questions in a timely manner, and provided so many helpful resources to aid in wedding planning. We are so grateful that Lily was available for our wedding and highly recommend booking her for your wedding!
