A Romantic and Colorful Summer Wedding at Ivory North

Amanda and Ray’s June wedding was as colorful as it was elegant. From the romantic string quartet to the vibrant reception decor, every detail reflected their bold and fun personalities!

When Amanda and Ray dreamed of their perfect wedding day, they wanted lots of bright color and a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. Their vision came to life on a beautiful summer day at Ivory North in Mora, Minnesota.

Ivory North is an enchanting venue with a modern white barn and an open-air pavilion surrounded by a beautiful field. This neutral backdrop was the perfect setting for a vibrant color palette of peach, coral, yellow, and various shades of pink from pale pink to magenta. These colors carried throughout the day from stationery and signage to bridesmaids’ dresses, florals, and wildflower seed paper guest favors.

Amanda's bridal gown perfectly fit her free-spirited personality; it had a romantic tulle skirt and an illusion mesh neckline with floral lace appliques, and Custom Sewing by Heather added delicate beading and sparkles! For her bridesmaids, Amanda chose monochromatic bouquets that perfectly complimented each of their colorful satin dresses, while her own bouquet was a symphony of color.

As guests arrived, the Ovation String Quartet set the ambiance with elegant covers of the couple’s favorite songs. After the couple exchanged vows in front of the meadow, guests mingled on the lawn for social hour while the quartet continued to play.

The bar served Lavender Lemonade mocktails and two signature cocktails, the True Love Tequila Sunrise and Mint to Be Mojito. For a personal touch, Amanda and Ray had custom cocktail napkins with their cats’ faces and stir sticks made with their monogram.

One of our favorite things about Ivory North is the open-air dinner pavilion. The space is bright and airy and so romantic with string lights overhead. The natural wood harvest tables were set with full place settings, including silver-beaded charger plates and chic Fuschia Watercolor napkins with dinner menus tucked into each pocket. June and Jane Flower Co designed playful centerpiece arrangements and added a mix of sandstone and blush pillar candles.

The head table popped with blush linens, pink taper candles, and bright blooms in bud vases. Behind the table, the white brick fireplace was decorated with a custom neon sign surrounded by florals. The floral garland adorning the fireplace mantle was actually repurposed from the ceremony arbor, and was designed to match the floral garland from the couple’s invitations!

A Moment For Dessert

Desserts were from 350 Degrees Bakery. The couple had a funfetti heart-shaped Lambeth cake. This vintage touch to their otherwise modern day was intentional, as the couple also cheers’ed over dessert with champagne in coupes from Amanda’s parents’ wedding!

For their guests, cute strawberry champagne and lemonade cupcakes were displayed on trays at each table as part of the colorful tablescape.
