What Happens if You Don’t Hire a Wedding Coordinator for Your Wedding?

Weddings are stressful enough to plan. After all of your hard work and time spent planning the day of your dreams, what happens when you don’t have a professional coordinator to execute all of those plans?

Well, things don’t always go… well.

Ask your married friends or any just-married brides in all those Facebook groups what they remember about their wedding. Of course, they had an amazing day! But do they wish they had done anything differently?

So many couples I’ve talked with admit that the final month of their engagement was a little more anxiety- and stress-riddled than it should have been, and that their wedding day didn’t quite go as planned.

What would they have done differently? Hired a wedding coordinator to perfectly wrap up the details and to be the go-to on wedding day for directing set up, assisting vendors, and keeping the timeline on track.

To list just a few things we’ve been told by couples that didn’t hire a coordinator:

  • They were overwhelmed with last-minute details and unsure of how to answer vendor questions about setup and venue rules…

  • They didn’t know how to create a timeline to properly fit the flow of their day…

  • The photographer left earlier than expected because the couple thought they had booked for 10 hours, but the contract only specified 8.

  • When you designate friends or family to place decor, it sometimes doesn’t look exactly as you intended… or charger plates get broken.

  • No one counted the chairs and place settings to make sure the counts matched the floor plan and an entire table didn’t even get set up!

  • Without someone to cue the wedding party, the ceremony processional gets awkward and out of sync…

  • When the photographer and DJ are running off different timelines, things get chaotic real quick and dinner begins 45 minutes late…

  • Vendors keep interrupting you to ask questions and re-confirm details you thought had already been discussed...

  • If you don’t double-check the first dance songs with the DJ, they might play the “right” song in title but by the wrong artist…

Definitely not how you want your wedding day to go! If you want to truly enjoy your wedding, you need a wedding coordinator.

How will a wedding coordinator help make your day the best?

A wedding coordinator steps in to help you navigate the final months of the planning process. Our goal is to understand your vision and every event detail so we can perfectly execute your wedding day just as you’ve planned it.

Prior to wedding day, we will create a seamless timeline, fine-tune your floor plan, and confirm vendor obligations. And on your wedding day, we keep things running smoothly from guiding your wedding party and assisting with decor to ensuring your vendor team stays in-sync with every timeline moment.

You deserve a carefree wedding day and that’s what we’re here for!
