A Fresh and Modern Minimalist Wedding at the Hutton House

If you’ve heard of the Hutton House, you know it’s such a beautiful light & bright space! And if you haven’t… well, listen up!

Located in Medicine Lake, the Hutton House feels like an urban oasis. With a fireside room, an always-looking-perfect courtyard, and a large reception room, the venue offers plenty of “hangout” spaces for your celebration. I’m a big fan of intentional spaces during the day — giving guests new areas to mingle and explore, rather than sitting in one banquet room all night, adds to the experience!

The appeal of the venue is also due to its “blank slate” atmosphere. The Hutton House truly allows couples to jazz it up and customize all decor, or they can enjoy it as-is — the venue looks gorgeous with minimal decorating.

HappiLily Events recently celebrated with a couple who chose to let the venue’s bright and sophisticated setting inspire a minimalistic look for their wedding day!

To bring Darcy & Isaiah’s vision to life, we kept the tablescapes clean and simple with white pillar candles and a fresh mix of floral (eucalyptus and babys breath). You’ll see we chose floor-length white linens (yes, floor-length linens are critical if you want an elegant wedding).

Thoughtfully, each table number included the couple’s story and a thank you to all guests attending. In our book, adding personal touches to your wedding day is a MUST! Each place setting also included a silver charger plate to complete the look.

In addition to greenery, throughout the bouquets and floral pieces on the fireplace mantle and stairwell, we added white roses to create more pop and elegance.

Ultimately, the greenery, simple florals, and candle-lit ambiance created the perfect airy and elegant setting for one of the sweetest celebrations we’ve been a part of! (Darcy & Isaiah’s wedding was on their 10th anniversary!).
